Private School in Friendswood and Alvin ,TX

A Deeply Human Education.

Strong academics, a screen-free core, and meaningful learning rooted in the real world.

Small by Design. Personal by Nature.

Apogee Gulf Coast is a small, independent school where children are known as individuals. Our mixed-age learning environment combines personalized, mastery-based academics with meaningful projects, practical skills, and experiences that connect learning to the world beyond school.

We bring together the academic strength and intentionality of a private education with the relationships, flexibility, and sense of community that are possible in a small school.

The AGC Daily Rhythm of Learning

Each day at AGC balances shared exploration, individual mastery, meaningful collaboration, and real responsibility. Learners have time to discover ideas together, pursue deeper understanding, put knowledge into practice, and contribute to the community around them.

Explore Together

Big ideas come alive through great books, conversation, Socratic discussion, experiments, questions, and shared discovery. Learners are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, exchange perspectives, make connections, and develop the confidence to express and defend their ideas.

Build Mastery

Learners work at the level and pace that appropriately challenge them. They build strong foundations, deepen their understanding, and progress when they are ready for what comes next. Along the way, they learn to set goals, reflect on their progress, persevere through challenges, and take increasing ownership of their learning.

Put Knowledge to Work

Through collaborative projects, learners research, design, build, experiment, solve problems, revise, and create—connecting what they know to meaningful work and the real world. Projects give learners the time and space to follow an idea from the first question through problem-solving, revision, and ultimately something they can share with others.

Practice Real Responsibility

Campus jobs and practical skills are part of everyday life at AGC. Learners care for shared spaces, cook, garden, work with their hands, plan, organize, and contribute to their community. Through these everyday responsibilities, they develop independence, competence, teamwork, and an understanding that being part of a community means helping to care for it.
