Do you offer mid-year enrollment?2025-02-14T13:21:45+00:00

Yes, we do offer mid-year enrollment depending on availability. We understand that families may need flexibility, and we will work with you to integrate your child into our community smoothly.

Do you require a Faith Statement?2026-03-23T23:50:59+00:00

While we are not faith-based, we are faith-integrated. A faith-based school is typically affiliated with or based on a religious group, and we are neither. We have the opportunity for prayer and reflection. We will read the Bible and/or reference scripture at times. We will ask questions of our young students so they can learn to verbalize their beliefs and engage in Socratic discussions regarding them. We often start our day off with a time for self-reflection. For students, this may mean time for prayer, the opportunity for meditation, mindfulness, or gratitude practices. There is a strong focus on character and integrity.

How do you handle discipline?2025-02-14T13:24:34+00:00

We approach discipline as a team with parents focusing on positive reinforcement, accountability, clear expectations, and open communication. We encourage self-governance and conflict resolution skills, while maintaining consistency and fairness in our approach to behavior management.

Do you teach religious topics?2025-02-14T13:24:54+00:00

Religious topics of many beliefs may be included as part of our character-building initiatives and extra-curricular clubs, but our main focus is on academic and social-emotional development. Families can discuss any concerns with us directly to ensure alignment with personal values.

How much outside time does the student get?2025-02-16T03:39:31+00:00

We believe in the importance of outdoor activity for student well-being. Our schedule includes ample outdoor time, whether it’s during recess, outdoor classrooms, or nature walks, ensuring students remain active and engaged in a balanced way.

What are your on-campus activities?2025-02-14T13:26:20+00:00

We offer a variety of on-campus activities, including hands-on projects, gardening, physical activity, and other enrichment activities that align with our curriculum. These activities help foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Do you go on field trips?2025-02-14T13:26:44+00:00

Yes, we do organize field trips to enhance learning and provide real-world experiences. These trips are typically scheduled once a month. Field trips are carefully selected to align with curriculum goals and offer students the chance to explore outside the classroom.

What transportation is offered?2025-02-14T13:27:06+00:00

At this time, we do not offer regular transportation. Families are responsible for transporting students to and from school, but we work to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient as possible for all families. Transportation is coordinated with parents and staff for campus field trips.

Do you provide lunches?2025-02-14T13:27:27+00:00

We do not provide lunches on a daily basis; however, students are welcome to bring lunch from home. We encourage healthy, balanced meals. Occasionally, special lunch events or community meals may be offered.

Are uniforms required?2025-02-14T13:27:48+00:00

Uniforms are not required, but we do encourage students to dress comfortably and appropriately for the school environment. We focus on creating a comfortable and functional dress code that allows students to be themselves while maintaining respect for the school setting.

What is the health and wellness commitment?2025-02-14T13:28:13+00:00

Our health and wellness commitment includes providing opportunities for physical activity, promoting nutritious eating, and encouraging mental health and emotional well-being. We aim to create a balanced, healthy environment for students to thrive in both mind and body.

What is education for the whole family?2026-03-23T23:37:56+00:00

At Apogee Gulf Coast, we believe that learning is a journey that involves the entire family. Our approach includes opportunities for parent engagement, family-focused events, and mentorship programs to build a supportive, collaborative educational community. Through our Apogee Man and Apogee Woman programs, we offer guidance for parents and older students, while the Apogee Young Man and Apogee Young Woman mentorship programs, designed for ages 12 and up, foster leadership, personal growth, and responsibility in our young students. Together, we create a holistic, nurturing environment for all members of the family.

How is safety on campus addressed?2025-02-14T13:29:11+00:00

Safety is a top priority at Apogee Gulf Coast. We have strict safety protocols, including secure campus access, emergency preparedness plans, and a supportive staff dedicated to ensuring the well-being of every student. We maintain an open line of communication with parents regarding any safety concerns.

What are your age ranges?2025-02-14T13:29:35+00:00

We serve students of various age ranges. Our studios are set up for four year olds (bathroom independent) through high school age students. Our programs are tailored to meet the developmental needs of students at different stages, ensuring a personalized and supportive learning experience.

What is the typical schedule in the studios?2025-02-14T13:30:01+00:00

Our school day is structured to provide a balanced mix of academics, physical activity, and hands-on learning. We begin each morning with a Morning Meeting, which includes the Pledge of Allegiance and a Socratic discussion to encourage critical thinking and meaningful conversation. Following Morning Meeting, students engage in physical fitness and academic lessons to start the day with both movement and focused learning. After lunch, we continue with additional academic subjects, ensuring a strong foundation in core learning. In the afternoon, students participate in Project-Based Learning (PBL), where they apply their knowledge to real-world projects that foster creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Before dismissal, students complete their daily jobs, reinforcing responsibility and community values, and then enjoy free play until pick-up. This schedule is designed to create a well-rounded educational experience that supports intellectual, physical, and social development.

What curriculum do you use?2025-02-14T13:30:21+00:00

Curriculum is a fancy school word for what is being taught and how it is taught. We use many resources commonly used in homeschool as well as creating our own in house. Some of the resources include BJU, Saxon Math, The Baran Method, Home Science Tools, Logics of English, and The Good and Beautiful.
